1307.01 ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTOR.

   (a)   The office of Building Inspector is hereby created and the executive official in charge shall be known as the Building Inspector.

   (b)   The Building Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to approval of Council.  His appointment shall continue during good behavior and satisfactory service.  He shall not be removed from office except for cause after full opportunity has been given him to be heard on specific charges.

   (c)   During temporary absence or disability of the Building Inspector the appointing authority shall designate an acting Building Inspector.

   (d)   The wages of the Building Inspector shall be as authorized by Council and payable bi-weekly.

1307.02 DUTIES OF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR.

   It shall be the duty of the Building Inspector to enforce all laws relating to the construction, alteration, removal and demolition of buildings and structures.
