(a) The line size shall be adequate to meet fire flow needs for the area served as determined by the Fire Chief while following the fire flow requirements of the Insurance Services Office of Ohio.
(b) All water lines shall be eight inches (8") in diameter provided, however, that larger lines may be required by the Fire Chief to meet fire flow requirements.
(c) Where the public water supply is within a reasonable distance of proposed new construction, or a building is being increased in area to the extent that the amount of water needed for firefighting purposes is appreciably increased, or a change in use or occupancy will result in a greater hazard classification requiring an increase in available water for fire protection, the owner or developer of the property shall construct a system of water mains, connect with the available water supply and provide such fire hydrants as are required by Section 1505.01.
