1305.04 PERMIT FEES FOR BUILDINGS REGULATED BY THE OHIO BUILDING CODE (INCLUDING FOUR (4) OR MORE MULTI-FAMILY UNITS).
   (a).    New buildings, additions to existing buildings and building shells and building shell additions, including but not limited to new detached utility or accessory structures:
   
$100.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas up to 200 sq. ft.
$200.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas 201 sq. ft. to 400 sq. ft.
$300.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas 401 sq. ft. to 1000 sq. ft.
$400.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas 1001 sq. ft. to 2000 sq. ft.
$500.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas 2001 sq. ft. and above
   (b)    Alterations, renovations, remodeling or repairs, including but not limited to concrete flatwork for patios or other uses of for all use groups:
      Alterations to existing buildings or structures shall be charged as follows:
$50.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas up to 200 sq. ft.
$100.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas 201 sq. ft. to 400 sq. ft.
$150.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas 401 sq. ft. to 1000 sq. ft.
$200.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas 1001 sq. ft. to 2000 sq. ft.
$300.00 plus $25.00 per 100 sq. ft. for areas 2001 sq. ft. and above
   The area affected by the alterations may extend beyond the areas of construction if means of egress, light and ventilation, fire protection allowable area, fire rated walls or assemblies, or type of construction are altered, or are required to be altered according to the Building Code, as determined by the Chief Building Official, Otherwise the area shall be the actual area affected by the alteration.
   (c)    Where the altered area to be used for the fee calculation is not clearly delineated, the fee may be calculated by the Chief Building Official as the appropriate flat fee plus 1% of the cost of estimated construction. Said cost estimate shall be as approved by the Chief Building Official as the value of the proposed work.
  
   (d)    Reduction of Fees for large buildings: For buildings larger than 25,000 square feet, fees charged per 100 square feet may be reduced as follows:
100% of the square foot rate shall be charged for the first 25,000 sq. ft.
75% of the square foot rate shall be charged for 25,001 to 50,000 sq. ft.
50% of the square foot rate shall be charged for 50,001 to 100,000 sq. ft.
25% of the square foot rate shall be charged for 100,000 sq. ft. and above.
   Work started without permits are not eligible for the above reduction in fees.
   (e)    Swimming pools:
$60.00 flat fee above ground plus $2.00 per 100 sq. ft.;
$100.00 flat fee plus $2.00 per 100 sq. ft. in-ground.
Electrical, plumbing and fence permits are additional.
   (f)   Fire suppression, and sprinkler suppression systems; complete demolition and foundation only permits:      
   $200.00 plus $3.00 per 100 sq. ft.
   (g)   Radio, television or other tower for any purpose:
$100.00 plus $2.00 per 100 lineal feet.
   
   (h)    Fences, signs and retaining walls:   
Fences less than 6 feet in height:         $20.00 zoning fee
Fences over 6 feet in height            $50 flat fee
Retaining wall over 4 feet in height:         $50 flat fee
Signs freestanding less than 4 feet above grade:    $25.00 zoning fee
Signs more than 4 feet above grade;       $50 flat fee
Associated electrical permits are an additional trade fee.
Kiosks -                   $50.00 flat fee
Tents -                     $50.00 flat fee.
Windows and door replacements -          $50 flat fee
(i)    Roofing, siding, interior demolition, and equipment foundation permits:
   $100.00 plus $0.50 per 100 sq. ft.
(j)    Lawn sprinkler irrigation systems:           $50.00 flat fee plus $5.00 per zone
(k)   Kitchen exhaust hood permits -          $100.00 each hood
(l)   Kitchen exhaust hood suppression -          $60.00 each hood
(m)   Spray booth installation permits -          $100.00 each
(n)   Spray booth suppression -             $60.00 each
