Fire hydrants shall be installed at intervals on new distribution mains in accordance with the standards of the Insurance Services office in effect at the time of the construction of said mains. All fire hydrants erected or when erected, shall be used exclusively for the extinguishment of fires and necessary practice and drill of the Mentor Fire Department, except as otherwise agreed to by the company and the City. In cases of fire practice or drills, the City shall notify the company in advance. Following any use of fire hydrants, the City shall report to the company the location and elapsed time each hydrant was used.
