1333.01 ADOPTION; ENFORCEMENT.

    (a)    Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 731.231, there is hereby adopted by and for the Village of Mayfield, the 2023 National Electric Code, as adopted by the Ohio Board of Building Standards, effective April 15, 2024, being Chapter 4101:8-34-01 of the Ohio Administrative Code, save and except such portions herein that maybe deleted, modified or amended . The purpose of the National Electric Code is to provide minimum standards so that all electrical materials and installations in dwelling units of One, Two and Three Family Dwellings, mobile homes, multiple family dwellings, commercial occupancies and industrial occupancies shall be in accordance with the requirements of the National Electric Code N.F.P.A - 70 sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association.

       (b)    The National Electric Code shall be enforced by the Building Commissioner and the Electrical Safety Inspector.
