A. The museum board shall have the powers and authority to plan the development of the Lea County museum within the city subject to the approval of the city commission, and shall be charged with the duties of carrying out all the policies of the city commission with reference to the Lea County museum.
B. The museum board shall be authorized to make all necessary rules and regulations governing the use and care of the museum. The museum board shall submit to the city manager for approval, an annual budget for each fiscal year beginning July 1st, which budget shall contain the recommended expenditures for the museum; no expenditures shall be made except with the expressed approval of the city commission as provided by the laws of the state.
C. The employment and discharge of all employees of the Lea County museum, shall be by the city manager after consultation with and consideration of the recommendations of the museum board.
D. The museum board shall also be charged with the duty of keeping a complete and accurate inventory of the property owned by, and property loaned to, the Lea County museum. (Ord. 315 § 5, 1982)
