A. Funds for necessary expenses of the department of emergency management, including salaries for approved paid positions, may be made available through appropriations by the city commission in accordance with Section 12-10-7, NMSA 1978 (1998 Repl. Pamph.).
B. The coordinator shall prepare and submit to the commission through the city manager an annual proposed budget for emergency management expenditures, and shall indicate therein those amounts eligible for matching funds under the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) programs.
C. Emergency management funds may be obligated by the coordinator only in the amounts appropriated and for the purposes authorized by the city commission. (Ord. 451 (part), 2003)
