The governing body of the city shall have all the powers enumerated in Section 5-1-1, N.M.S.A., 1978, in addition to all future enactments and directives by the New Mexico Legislature and supervisory departments of the state of New Mexico relating to municipal ambulance service. The city manager shall direct the ambulance service, in accordance with the other provisions of this code, the laws of the state of New Mexico, the directives of the supervisory departments of the state of New Mexico and the governing body of the city.
