A. Any person, the owner of any house, building or structure which is intended to be moved upon the streets, alleys or other public ways of the city, shall first apply for and obtain a permit from the building inspector of the city to be approved by the city engineer. Such permit shall be conditioned by the building inspector and city engineer upon the performance by the owner or his agents with such reasonable requirements as may be deemed necessary for the protection of the property of the city and its inhabitants. Such application for a permit shall show, in connection with the house, building or structure to be moved, its construction at the present time, its present use and location, its new location together with a diagram of the lot showing the existence of other buildings thereon and the substructure upon which it is intended to be placed, its intended use for the future at such new location, the route to be traversed in the moving thereof, the length of time required for such moving, and the name of a properly licensed person contracting to move such structure.
B. A permit fee of twenty-five dollars shall be charged for each building, house or structure to be so moved, for each seventy-two hours or portion thereof that such structure shall remain standing upon any public street or way in the city. (Prior code § 14-3-3)
