In the event of the death of an employee's spouse, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, or sibling, employees may receive up to three days of paid leave at the discretion of the city manager. Paid emergency leave of three days may also be granted in cases of extreme or unusual hardship of an emergency nature. All emergency leave must be granted by the city manager. Employees desiring more than three days off may use accrued compensatory time or annual leave. (Ord. 435 § 10.7, 2001)
