The Civil Service Commission shall be composed of three members, who shall be appointed by the Council, but shall not be Council members, and shall serve in the manner provided in Section 8.01 of the City Charter.
It shall be the duty of each member of the Commission to attend all meetings of the Civil Service Commission and to devote as much time as is necessary to the management of the business and affairs of the Commission.
Following the seating of a new City Council, the Commission shall elect in January of each year one of its members as a chairperson, one as vice-chairperson and one as secretary. These members shall serve in these positions until new members are appointed or until the reappointment of old members. (Ord. 2010-50. Passed 8-24-10.)
