§ 36.70 ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CIVILIAN REVIEW AND ACCOUNTABILITY BOARD; SCOPE OF AUTHORITY.
   (A)   There is hereby established a Civilian Review and Accountability Board for Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government for the purpose of:
      (1)   Increasing citizen involvement in the investigation and review of allegations of police misconduct within the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD); and
      (2)   Providing oversight to the Office of Inspector General as created in LMCO § 36.78.
   (B)   The Civilian Review and Accountability Board shall be provided a separate budget sufficient to carry out the responsibilities and functions established in this subchapter.
   (C)   The Board shall adopt bylaws and other rules as it deems necessary for its organization and proceedings consistent with the laws, ordinances and resolutions of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Louisville/Jefferson County.
