Sec. 5.130. Creation of the Fund.

   There is hereby created a fund within the Treasury of the City of Los Angeles known as the “Traffic Safety Fund” and hereinafter referred to in this article as the “Fund.”

Sec. 5.131. Deposits into Fund.

   There shall be deposited in said fund all fines and forfeitures collected from any person charged with a misdemeanor under the Vehicle Code of the State of California following arrest by an officer employed by the City of Los Angeles.

Sec. 5.132. Appropriations and Balances Within the Fund.

   All appropriations or unexpended balances thereof heretofore made by ordinances adopted by the City Council of the City of Los Angeles and as shown upon the records of the Controller of the City of Los Angeles or upon the records or accounts of other departments of the City of Los Angeles under the name of the “Motor Vehicle Street Improvement Fund” shall be designated and considered as appropriations and balances within the “Traffic Safety Fund.”
