§ 34.02 ACQUISITION, OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF AIRPORT.
   (A)   The Linton Common Council is in favor of the acquisition, operation, and maintenance of a proposed Linton City Airport, Linton, Indiana, if the same can be accomplished in an economically feasible manner.
   (B)   It is hereby declared to be a necessity that the City of Linton, Indiana, acquire, operate, and maintain the airport if the same can be done in an economically feasible manner.
   (C)   Pursuant to I.C. 8-22-3, the City of Linton, Indiana, hereby creates, as an executive department, a Department of Aviation under the control of a board of four members to be known as the Linton Board of Aviation Commissioners.
   (D)   That nothing contained in this section shall require the City of Linton, Indiana, to acquire, operate, or maintain the Airport nor shall the Common Council of the City of Linton be required, by this section to appropriate funds for the acquisition, operation, or maintenance of the Airport.
   (E)   This section shall take effect from its passage and approval according to law.
