(a) Misdemeanor. A person who violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable by a maximum fine of one thousand hundred dollars ($1,000.00) and/or a maximum of 180 days imprisonment. Each day a violation is committed, or permitted to continue, it shall constitute a separate offense and shall be treated as a separate offense.
(b) Civil proceedings. The Law Director of the Village of Linndale or designee is hereby authorized to institute civil proceedings necessary for the enforcement of this article to restrain or correct ordinance violations, and for the recovery of costs and expenses incurred by the Village, as authorized by law. Such proceedings, including injunctive relief, shall be brought in the name of the Village, however, the institution of civil proceedings shall not preclude enforcement of misdemeanor, administrative, or any other proceeding authorized by ordinance, state, or federal law.
