244.44   PART- TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS.
   (A)   Employees of the City shall be determined to be part-time employees under the following conditions:
      (1)   Hourly employees. Those City employees who work less than thirty hours per week, on a regular basis; except that hourly employees for the Police Support Services Program shall be considered part-time if they work less than forty hours per week on a regular basis; and
      (2)   Salaried employees. Those City employees who earn an annual salary of less than nine thousand dollars ($9,000.00).
   (B)   Part-time employees shall have the following employment benefits:
      (1)   Sick leave. For part-time employees, sick leave and the sell-back option shall be governed by the Ohio Revised Code and not by Section 244.02.
      (2)   Vacation. Vacation for part-time employees shall accrue based upon actual hours worked.
      (3)   Life Insurance. Part-time employees shall receive the same life insurance benefit as full-time employees, at the level of the hourly employee’s annual salary, not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00).
      (4)   Longevity pay. Part-time employees shall not receive longevity pay except for part-time employees already qualified for the longevity pay for the current year, but not in any subsequent years.
      (5)   Holiday pay. Part-time employees shall not receive pay for holidays off; however, if a part-time employee works on a holiday, then he or she shall receive pay of time and one-half for each hour worked.
      (6)   Personal days. Part-time employees shall not be granted personal days.
      (7)   Maternity leave. Maternity leave is governed by the Ohio Revised Code, the Family Leave Act and Section 244.031.
      (8)   Injury leave. Part-time employees shall receive injury leave as set forth in Section 244.032.
      (9)   Funeral leave. Part-time employees shall be granted up to three days leave and, if one or more of the days falls on a normally scheduled workday, the pay will be based upon hours scheduled to be worked.
      (10)   Health care benefits. Part-time employees shall not be afforded health care benefits.
