(a) The commissioner of law may institute an action for injunctive relief to restrain a person from engaging in or continuing any violation of sections 15-10 through 15-10.9 of this Code or a rule or order of the department related to sections 15-10 through 15-10.9 of this Code. Such an action may also seek to recover costs.
(b) In addition to the penalties in sections 13-14 and 13-15 of this Code, any person who shall deface or otherwise alter a certificate of licensure or violate any provision of sections 15-10 through 15-10.9 of this Code shall be subject for each offense to a fine or penalty not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) and/or to imprisonment for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months. Each day that any person continues such conduct shall constitute a separate offense.
