The official board charged with hearing and deciding all assessment appeals in the territory of the Merged Government shall be the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Board of Supervisors. Said board shall be initially composed of the members of the Fayette County Board of Supervisors and shall retain all of the powers, duties and legal responsibilities of county boards of supervisors as provided by law.
All vacancies on said board occurring after the effective date of this Charter shall be filled by the County Judge in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 11.01 of this Charter. Members of the Board of Supervisors shall serve such terms as may be prescribed by law for county boards of supervisors generally.
Annotation—The title of the board charged with hearing and deciding all assessment appeals has been changed by KRS 133.120 to the board of assessment appeals.
