(a) Any person filing an application for a building permit, occupancy permit, zone map amendment, development plan, subdivision plan or appeal to the LFUCG Board of Adjustment that would result in the displacement of any tenant or tenants shall provide the following information along with the application or no less than sixty (60) days prior to the change of use: (1) whether any existing dwelling units will be removed; (2) whether any such dwelling units have been present on the property with the past twelve (12) months; and (3) a written statement setting forth any efforts undertaken or to be undertaken to assist tenants in obtaining alternative housing.
(b) Prior to the granting of any building or occupancy permit by the Division of Building Inspection of a nature that would result in the displacement of any tenant or tenants, the applicant shall distribute to every tenant a packet of information provided by the LFUCG explaining to the tenant how to apply for relocation assistance and what assistance is available. For such cases, the applicant will be required to file an affidavit with the Division of Building Inspection attesting to compliance with the provisions of this section prior to issuance of the permit.
(c) The provisions of this article shall not apply to emergency situations, such as fire or natural disasters, that result in the displacement of tenants.
