The chief of the division of fire and emergency services, or his designated representatives, shall have the authority to cause the turning off of all electrical currents and to cut or disconnect, in cases of emergency, any wires where such electrical currents are dangerous to life or property or where such wires may interfere with the work or progress of the division of fire and emergency services in fighting fires. The director of the division of building inspection or his designated representatives, in order to ensure compliance with these regulations, shall have the authority to cause the turning off of all electrical currents in cases of emergency or where such currents are dangerous to life or property.
