Editor's note(s)—Section 1 of Ord. No. 247-88, adopted Oct. 20, 1988, effective Nov. 1, 1988, amended div. 2, §§ 5-55—5-75, in its entirety. In most cases, the new ordinance dealt with essentially same subject matter as Ord. No. 36-74, from which this division was originally derived, but gave the provisions different section numbers. In those cases, a complete history note has been given, with a note indicating the former section number. Reference only to Ord. No. 247-88 indicates the provisions are included in this division for the first time. Some of the provisions were formerly found in div. 1 of this article. They have been included as numbered by Ord. No. 247-88 and have been deleted from div. 1, with a note giving their location in this div. 2. Provisions relating to an advisory board of electricians, formerly included in § 5-59 and derived from Ord. No. 36-74, § 4, were not included in the new ordinance. The division was further amended in its entirety by § 1 of Ord. No. 219-91, adopted Oct. 17, 1991.
