(a) The commission shall consist of nineteen (19) members, which shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the council.
(b) The nineteen (19) members shall be representatives of the following:
(1) Two (2) ex-officio members from the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council;
(2) Four (4) members from organizations or individuals representing people with specific disabilities;
(3) One (1) member representing the business community;
(4) One (1) member representing a regional college or university;
(5) One (1) member representing rehabilitation professionals;
(6) One (1) member representing a public transportation agency;
(7) Two (2) members from employment and/or education advocacy organizations;
(8) Two (2) members from the community at large;
(9) One (1) ex-officio member shall be the ADA coordinator for LFUCG, or their designee;
(10) One (1) ex-officio member shall be the director of building inspection, or their designee;
(11) One (1) ex-officio member shall be the commissioner of social services, or their designee;
(12) One (1) ex-officio member shall be the commissioner of public safety, or their designee; and
(13) One (1) ex-officio member shall be either the commissioner of environmental quality and public works or the director of the division of planning, or their designee.
