The board shall, as permitted by law:
(1) Apply for, receive and disburse funds and contract with any state, federal, public or private organization, as well as solicit and receive contributions and donations from individuals and groups for the purpose of carrying out its duties as set forth herein;
(2) Monitor the CASA program;
(3) Serve as a communications liaison between the CASA program and the public;
(4) Support and promote the CASA program in the areas of legislation;
(5) Develop community links among other interested professionals;
(6) Mediate disputes concerning CASA volunteers;
(7) Establish committees, which may include interested members of the public, as may be necessary for carrying out the duties as set forth herein; and
(8) Perform any other act necessary and appropriate to carry out the purposes of this article.
