Sec. 2-19. - Oath of office.
(1)   All appointees to the boards, agencies and commissions covered by the provisions of Article 7 of the Charter and which require council confirmation for appointment of members shall complete an oath of office by affidavit, unless exempt by law. Appointees shall not take office until after completion of the oath. If the oath is not completed within sixty (60) days after council confirmation, the office shall be vacated and another appointment to the office shall be made by the mayor subject to council confirmation. The oath by affidavit form shall be submitted to the council clerk's office within thirty (30) days after completion.
(2)   The requirements set forth in subsection (1) shall not apply to board and commission members whose appointment began prior to the effective date of this section.
(3)   The oath taken by appointees to boards, agencies and commissions shall state as follows:
I, ___________, do solemnly swear or affirm that I will attend training offered by the Urban County Government relating to members of boards and commissions and that I have reviewed the governing documents relating to the board, agency or commission to which I have been appointed.
I further solemnly swear or affirm that I will discharge, to the best of my ability, the duties and responsibilities of the board, agency or commission to which I have been appointed.
