(b) After being thoroughly tamped in the forms, the top surface of the curb must be finished true and even with a wooden float and then brushed, with the markings of the brush uniform and parallel to the line of the curb. At intervals of every thirty (30) feet, a specially prepared asphalt joint, one-half inch in width, must be placed so as to extend entirely through the curb. After the curb has hardened, this joint must be trimmed even with the curb. When the concrete is placed in the form, it must be spaded down on the back and front side so that no honeycomb concrete will show; and the forms must be removed as soon as the concrete has hardened sufficiently to stand.
(c) The face of the curb must be finished off by the use of wooden float and brush. The corner of the curb next to the street must be rounded off with a special steel trowel.
(d) All the joints and markings of the curb must be done with a steel marker and must be finished in a uniform and even manner.
