When a new driveway or an expanded driveway is requested, the request shall be made by application to the Director of Public Works and authorized by a permit issued by the Director. Any new driveway or expansion of any existing driveway shall be at the applicant’s expense. The applicant may request the driveway construction to be done by the Department of Public Works and be charged a fee set by the Board of Alderpersons for driveway construction by the town, or the applicant may obtain a private contractor to construct the driveway to the standards and requirements of §§ 93.040 through 93.044, 93.055 through 93.061 and 93.075 through 93.083 and in accordance with the driveway permit issued.
