654.02 CRIMINAL MISCHIEF.
   (a)   No person shall:
      (1)   Damage tangible property of another intentionally, recklessly or by negligence in the employment of fire, explosives, water, poison gas or radioactive material;
      (2)   Intentionally or recklessly tamper with tangible property of another so as to endanger any person or property; or
      (3)   Intentionally or recklessly cause another to suffer pecuniary loss by deception or threat.
   (b)   Criminal mischief is a summary offense, and therefore a violation of this section, only if the actor intentionally causes pecuniary loss of five hundred dollars ($500.00) or less and does not substantially interrupt or impair public communication, transportation, supply of water, gas or power, or other public service. Otherwise, the actor shall be prosecuted under State law.
