(a) The number of off-street parking spaces required shall be as follows:

(6) | Dance halls and assembly halls, except church assembly rooms in conjunction with an auditorium | One for each 500 square feet of floor area used for assembly or dancing |
(7) | Dwellings | One for each family or dwelling unit |
(8) | Funeral homes, mortuaries | Five for each reposing room or parlor |
(9) | Hospitals | One for each five beds |
(10) | Libraries, museums or galleries | One for each 1,000 square feet of floor space |
(11) | Manufacturing plants, research or testing laboratories, bottling plants | One for each 2,000 square feet of floor area |
(12) | Medical and dental clinics or offices | One for each 400 square feet of floor area |
(13) | Motels and hotels | One for each living or sleeping unit |
(14) | Restaurants, beer parlors and night clubs | One for each 300 square feet of floor area |
(15) | Retail stores, shops, and the like | One for each 400 square feet of floor area |
(16) | Schools: | |
Elementary and junior high (grades 1-9) | One for each classroom, plus three | |
High School (grades 10-12) | One for every 20 classroom seats | |
(b) In addition to the requirements of division (a) hereof, there shall be provided additional spaces as set forth elsewhere in this Zoning Code for specific uses, such as auditoriums, gymnasiums, and the like, as follows:
(1) | Sanitariums, nursing homes, homes for the aged, children’s homes | One for each ten beds |
(2) | Sports arenas, theaters, assembly halls, other than schools | One for each six seats |
(3) | Wholesale establishments or warehouses | One for each 5,000 square feet of floor area |
(c) In the case of a use not specifically mentioned in this section, the requirements for off-street parking facilities for a use which is so mentioned and to which such use is similar, as determined by the Building Officer or his or her authorized representative shall apply.
(d) Each parking space required by this section shall be in compliance with § 1280.02
