§ 97.068 PERMIT REQUIRED; APPLICATION; PERMIT FEE; BOND.
A permit shall be required of all persons, firms, corporation, partnerships and/or contractors desiring to build, repair or rebuild sidewalks and driveways. An application for such permit is to be filed in and on forms available at the structural/safety division of the fire department offices. Such forms are to include information as determined by the City Engineer or his designee. The permit fee shall be established from time to time by resolution of the City Council. The City Engineer or his designee may require applicant for a permit to furnish a cash or surety bond to the city in an amount sufficient to assure the faithful performance of work done in the city. The City Engineer shall determine the need for a cash or surety bond based on the nature and extent of the work involved. Said bond shall run for a period of not less than 90 days from the date of the permit and shall continue and cover all permits issued to that particular applicant. Bonds shall not be required for a homeowner doing the work himself on his own home property.
