§ 97.999 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this chapter for which another penalty has been provided shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, punished by a fine not to exceed $500 and the costs of prosecution, or in default of the payment thereof by imprisonment for not to exceed 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. The imposition of any sentence shall not exempt the offender from compliance with the requirements of this chapter.

   (B)   Any person, partnership, corporation, joint-stock company or syndicate who violates any provision of §§ 97.080 through 97.085 shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in an amount not exceeding $25 or be imprisoned in the jail for a period not exceeding three days, or be both so fined and imprisoned. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such.
