160.02 APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR AND ASSISTANTS; DUTIES.

   The Director of the Disaster Services Agency shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall serve at the sole, exclusive pleasure of the Mayor. If, at his sole discretion, the Mayor deems it necessary, he may appoint assistants to the Director, who shall serve at the sole, exclusive pleasure of the Mayor and who shall serve on a voluntary basis, i. e. they shall be paid no compensation. The Director shall coordinate the organization, administration, planning and operations of all local agencies for civil defense and disaster services, subject to the complete and exclusive direction and control of the Mayor. As provided in Section 160.03, the Disaster Services Agency will cooperate with other communities, provided, however, that this cooperation shall be rendered at the sole and exclusive direction of the Mayor.
