1366.01 APPLICABILITY; LEASE OR RENTAL REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

(b) On and after January 1, 2017, and annually thereafter, no owner of a residential property located within the City shall lease or rent any single family dwelling for any form of consideration unless the owner first registers the residential property with the City Building Department.

(c) The term “owner” shall be the person or entity identified as the property owner on the deed that is filed with the County Recorder’s Office.

(d) No single-family dwelling shall be leased or rented, in whole or part, for a period of less than thirty (30) days. Leasing or renting a single-family dwelling, in whole or part, for less than thirty (30) days shall constitute a violation to this chapter.
