1332.05 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR AIR CONDITIONING AND AIR HANDLING EQUIPMENT.

   Applications to the Building Commissioner for installation of air conditioning and air handling equipment shall include:

   (a)   A site plan showing:

      (1)   The proposed installation.

      (2)   The exact location of the equipment as to property lines, setback, required side and rear yards, the main building and building on adjacent property.

   (b)   The SRN that is affixed permanently to the unit.

   (c)   Must produce a certificate establishing that the unit will emit not more than a certain SRN.

   (d)   Must certify that the unit will operate in conformity to the provisions of Section 1332.02 .

   (e)   Should the sound level exceed 60 dba measured, by the requirements of 1332.06 , with the equipment in operation, additional measurements shall be made with the equipment not operating in order to determine its contribution to the sound level above 60 dba. If the difference in levels exceed 5 db between the equipment operating and not operating, the equipment shall be considered as contributing to loud and objectionable sounds and shall be modified or controlled so that the difference shall not exceed 5 db.
