1355.03 DISPOSERS REQUIRED IN NEW CONSTRUCTION.

   (a)    Each dwelling unit, the construction of which is applied for on or after the effective date of this section (Ordinance 1974-83, passed November 26, 1974), shall, prior to the occupation thereof, be equipped with a properly installed mechanical garbage disposer, which conforms to the specifications set forth in Section 1355.04.

   (b)    Every building, structure, storeroom, club, lodge, home, school, business establishment or place other than a dwelling unit, the use of which results in the production of garbage, and the construction, remodeling or equipping of which is commenced on or after the effective date of this section (Ordinance 1974-83, passed November 26, 1974), shall, prior to the occupancy or use thereof, be equipped with a properly installed mechanical garbage disposer, which conforms to the specifications set forth in Section 1355.04.
