1301.01 INSPECTOR OF BUILDINGS.

There is hereby created the office of Inspector of Buildings. Such Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.

Council shall fix the salary of the Inspector. Nothing herein contained shall prevent the person holding such office from also holding other positions, excepting that of Councilman, as Council may prescribe. and he shall receive such compensation therefor as may be fixed by Council in addition to his compensation as Inspector of Buildings.

The Mayor may appoint an assistant to the Inspector at any time it may be deemed

necessary. Council shall also fix the compensation to be paid such assistant.
