929.12 SEPTIC TANK ELIMINATION.

   Upon connection to a sanitary sewer as provided in Section 929.11, no owner, agent, lessee, tenant or occupant of any lot or parcel of land located within the Municipality shall fail to eliminate his septic tank within a reasonable period, not to exceed one year. Such elimination shall be accomplished pursuant to rules and instructions to be established and posted by the Service Director for the health and sanitation of the City, which rules may include, as part of the elimination process, the following requirements:

   (a)    Cutting all lines to septic tanks;

   (b)    Uncovering, pumping dry, cleaning and disinfecting the tank;

   (c)    Caving in the head and backfilling the opening; and

   (d)    Filling and grading to the existing grade.
