345.01 PERMIT REQUIRED.
No road roller, traction engine, power shovel, power crane or other equipment used in construction work and not designed for or employed in general highway transportation, well-drilling machinery, ditch-digging machinery, farm machinery, agricultural tractors or self-propelled vehicles designed or used for drawing such vehicles or machinery or any vehicle the aggregate weight of which with any load thereon exceeds the maximum weight limits provided by these Codified Ordinances or by the laws of the State, or the length or width of which exceeds the maximum lengths or widths provided by these Codified Ordinances or the laws of the State, shall be moved or stationed preparatory to moving on the streets of this City without a permit as provided in Section 345.02.
