2-3-15:  BOND:
The city manager with the advice and consent of the commission may, as a condition to the appointment of any person as the director of any city department or as a condition of the appointment of any other city officer or employee whose responsibilities include the handling of public money, require an official bond in form to be approved by the commission with one or more surety companies authorized to do business in this state. The premiums on any such bond shall be a proper charge against the city and shall be paid as other expenses of the appropriate department for whose employees the city manager, with the advice and consent of the commission, has required them.
