As used in this chapter, the following definitions apply:
BOULEVARD TREES: Trees planted in the area between the back of the curb and the edge of the sidewalk.
DEPARTMENT: The city of Helena's parks and recreation department.
MAJOR PRUNING: Cutting or removing any portion of a tree that endangers the life of the tree, the structural integrity of the tree, or considerably changes the tree's form or appearance.
MINOR PRUNING: Any cutting of a tree that is not major pruning.
PRUNE: Cutting away unwanted parts of a plant.
PUBLIC TREES: Trees planted on city owned property. (Ord. 3194, 8-18-2014)
