At the time of completion of annexation, the annexed territory shall automatically be included in the service area and no further action is needed on an application for service area enlargement. However, before officially acting upon any application for enlargement of the service area into an unannexed area, the city commission shall hold a public hearing thereon and shall give public notice of hearing upon each such application. Notice shall be given by publishing notice as set forth in section 7-1-4127, Montana Code Annotated. Prior to the public hearing, the director of public works shall make a recommendation to the city commission regarding said application. (Ord. 3055, 5-8-2006)
