It shall be the duty of the customer service division and the officials and employees thereof to charge for and collect the wastewater charges, rates and rentals herein provided for as a surcharge to be added to and placed on the water bills of water consumers of the city, and to do all things necessary to ensure the collection of such wastewater service rates, charges and rentals with and added to the water consumption charges collected for the public works department.
All monies collected by the customer service division for the wastewater charges, rates and rentals, as herein provided, shall be kept and maintained in a separate fund and shall be delivered to and deposited in a fund to be known as the "wastewater service fund" of the city. (Ord. 2925, 12-3-2001)
