941.01 SERVICE TO BE INSTALLED BY CONTRACTOR.

   The building water service shall be installed by a bonded contractor at the property owner’s expense. Any street excavation required in order to make a tap shall be done as approved by the Village Street Superintendent. The cost of laying new water lines or extending existing lines shall be assessed against the property benefitted thereby. A general plan of the connection shall be approved by the Village Water Superintendent prior to installation. The water installation shall include proper bedding, backfill, testing and cleanouts as required by the Village. The water line shall not be covered or backfilled until it has been inspected and approved by the Village Water Superintendent.

941.02 WATER FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES FREE OF CHARGE.

   Pursuant to Ohio R.C. 743.27, all water originating from the Village Water Department and all wastewater originating from Village buildings or operating services shall be furnished free of charge when used for municipal or public purposes as determined by Village Council.
