3-2-12: RULES AND REGULATIONS:

The fire chief shall establish and promulgate rules and regulations governing the employment and promotion of the members of the fire department, and such rules and regulations shall be effective upon approval by the council. (Ord. 736, 4-21-1986)

3-2-13: LIABILITY OF PERSONS TRANSMITTING FIRE REPORTS:

No person who is authorized by the city to receive any report of fire or who agrees to receive and transmit such report to the fire department shall be liable in any civil action for damage to property or persons, including death, caused by delay in reporting or failure to report such fire, unless such delay or failure is the result of gross negligence of such person. 3-2-14: FALSE ALARMS:

It shall be unlawful for any person to give a false alarm, with intent to deceive or to pull the lever of any signal box except in case of fire, or tamper in any way with the box or any part thereof, or to injure, deface or remove any of the boxes or the wires or supports thereof connected with any part of the alarm system; or to use the telephone mischievously, wilfully or wantonly without having reasonable grounds for believing that a fire exists, to give any alarm to the fire department.
