3-2-6: NOXIOUS WEEDS:
   A.   Noxious Growths Defined: The following named weeds and growths shall be considered noxious within the meaning of this section: wild mustard, thistles, and all growths commonly known as weeds. (1983 Code § 8.08.010)
   B.   Failure To Cut: Any person who shall, within the city limits, allow any noxious growths to grow and remain uncut on any property owned in whole or in part, or occupied by such person, shall be deemed guilty of maintaining a nuisance; and the continuance of the same for every day after having been notified by the mayor to cut or destroy such noxious growths, shall be considered as a separate offense.    C.   Noxious Growths On Public Ways: It shall be the duty of the mayor to cut or destroy all noxious growths upon the streets, alleys and public highways of the city, and for such purposes he may employ and hire all labor and help as may be necessary under the direction of the city council.    D.   Notice Of Violation: Before a person is convicted of an offense as defined in subsection B of this section, it shall be made to appear that such person shall have been served with a reasonable notice, either verbal or written, from the mayor to abate the same; and that he failed or neglected to do so; and in case of violation of subsection B of this section, the mayor shall enter a complaint before a proper magistrate to enforce the penalty set out herein.
