A violation of this chapter shall be prosecuted as a misdemeanor, and upon conviction the violator shall be punished; however, in addition to or in lieu of any criminal prosecution, the city shall have the power to sue in civil court to enforce the provisions of this chapter. If convicted, a person shall be punished as provided in the general penalty in section 1-3-1 of this code. (Ord. 378, 8-6-2002; amd. 2004 Code)
