6-6-4: MONUMENTS AND ORNAMENTATION:
   A.   Placement Of Monuments: No monument shall be placed on any lot without permission of the mayor, and it shall be his duty to direct the location and placement of the same, and no monument shall be so placed as to interfere with any important effects upon adjoining lots. The foundation of all monuments and headstones shall not be less than three feet (3') deep, and subject to approval by the mayor. (1983 Code § 2.24.030)
   B.   Ornamentation:
      1.   Ornamental Objects: No lot shall contain any vase or seat, or any rock works, or any other ornamental objects, excepting by permission of the mayor. (1983 Code § 2.24.010)
      2.   Trees And Shrubs: No lot shall be decorated by its owner or other parties interested therein with any tree or shrub without the permission of the mayor. (1983 Code § 2.24.020)
      3.   Grounds: The mayor shall, under the direction of the city council, have entire charge of the planting of trees and shrubs, in accordance with the general plan for the ornamentation of the grounds; and if any tree or shrub standing on any lot, whether planted by direction of the mayor or otherwise, shall become, by means of its roots, branches or otherwise, detrimental to adjacent lots or avenues, or for any reason its removal shall become necessary or advisable, the mayor shall have the right, and it shall be his duty, to remove such tree or shrub, or any part thereof.       4.   Private Vaults And Tombs: Private vaults and tombs will be allowed in lots where the ground is suitable therefor; but in every case a design of the same must first be submitted to, and approved by, the city council. (1983 Code § 2.24.050)
