A. Permit Required: Whenever an interment is to be made in a family lot, written application must be made to the mayor or city clerk by the owner of said lot, through the undertaker, and a permit obtained therefor. (1983 Code § 2.24.080)
B. Application And Contents:
1. The application must state the following particulars:
a. The full name of the deceased;
b. Age, if known;
c. Date and place of demise;
d. Date of interment and location of grave;
e. Name of undertaker;
f. Outside size of coffin or box.
2. In case of the interment of a deceased owner of a lot, the application shall be authorized by some person known to the mayor or city clerk to be of his family or household, or by his physician. (1983 Code § 2.24.090; amd. 2004 Code)
C. Advance Notice Of Interment Required: The permit must be deposited with the mayor at least four (4) hours before the time of the funeral, and notice of the hour of the funeral must be given at the same time. (1983 Code § 2.24.100)
