6-6-1: SALE OF CEMETERY LOTS:
All lots and parcels of ground in the Harrison cemetery which the city shall sell will be conveyed by certificate, giving the owner the right of possession forever, as a place of interment of the dead; subject, however, to such rules of the Harrison cemetery as shall be in force at the time of the purchase, or that may be adopted thereafter for the general good of the cemetery. It is not the intention to give credit for lots or graves, but in case such leniency is shown, the city shall retain the right of ownership of the lots, and in case the party purchasing the same should fail to pay the full amount due thereon, the city may, after waiting a reasonable time, at its discretion, proceed to remove the bodies therein to some other suitable place in the cemetery, or to the portion set apart for single graves; or it may set apart that portion of the lot in which the remains are buried and sell the remaining portion of the lot.
