§ 37.008 POLITICAL ACTIVITY BY CITY EMPLOYEES, POLICE OFFICERS AND FIREFIGHTERS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   City employee. A city employee may not engage in political activity:
      (1)   While on duty;
      (2)   While wearing a uniform or official insignia identifying the office or position of the employee; or
      (3)   Using any vehicle owned or leased by the city or agency or instrumentality thereof.
   (B)   Police office or firefighter. A police officer of firefighter of the city may not engage in political activity while:
      (1)   The officer of fire fighter is either on duty or off duty while wearing a uniform or official insignia identifying the office or position of the officer or firefighter;
      (2)   Driving in any vehicle owned or leased by the city or agency or instrumentality thereof; or
      (3)   The officer of firefighter is off duty while wearing a uniform or official insignia identifying the officer or position of the officer or firefighter while driving any other type of vehicle.
