1505.01 ENFORCEMENT OF OHIO FIRE PREVENTION CODE.
   (a)   As used in the Codified Ordinances of the City of Hamilton, “Ohio Fire Code (OFC)” shall refer to the state fire code (OAC Chapter 1301:7-7) adopted by the state fire marshal pursuant to Section 3737.82 of the Ohio Revised Code, including any subsequent amendments.
   (b)   The City of Hamilton Division of Fire shall be primarily responsible for the enforcement of the OFC. Except as otherwise provided by ordinance, the provisions of the OFC shall be controlling within the City. The Fire Division may proceed under the enforcement and penalty provisions of the OFC.

1505.02 BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION.
   (a)   The Ohio Fire Code shall be enforced by the Bureau of Fire Prevention in the Division of Fire which is hereby established and which shall be operated under the supervision of the Fire Chief.
   (b)   The officer in charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention shall be appointed by the Fire Chief.
